Tired of the Lies

Location

I'm tired of pretending I'm happy.

I'm tired of pretending I'm okay.

I'm tired of pretending I don't care,

when there's so much more I could say.

I'm crying out, but no one hears.

I want shout, but you won't see my tears.

You treat me like a child, you act like I don't know.

It's not like I am wild, but I still will have to grow.

Aging is a given, and you know that it's true.

So why are you so driven, to pretend like I don't have a clue.

I know I have to mature, that's what I'm trying to do.

So much you'll have to endure, but I need to be free from you.
