Time

One o'clock strikes

A time of night not many dare seek

Weary limbs move

Begging for rest

Two o'clock strikes

Another hour gone by

'Why oh Why' she cries

Rest is far

Three o'clock strikes

All she hears is noise

Crickets chirp, Clocks tick

Her heart races

Four o'clock strikes

Shadows looming

Hiding truths, Telling lies

She prays for peace

Five o'clock strikes

A threshold bound to break

Exhausted limbs no longer move

Sleep has come.
