Tightrope

Location

Pakistan

You learnt to tread

the thread of life,

for you knew

if you leaned too much

towards either side

the gravity would swallow you whole.

There is no room

to veer off course

the pull is just too strong

And you gotta watch out

for any winds that might

make you teeter into remorse.

My dear, I want you to heave a sigh,

and to know that it's gonna be alright.

With your hand entangled in mine,

we're gonna walk this tightrope just fine.
