They say those teens today just aren't what they used to be

but I say

Yes, we are not what we used to be,

we are better than ever

bolder than ever and prouder than ever.

We can roam free through the earth and climb up mountain tops

scream on roller coasters, dye our hair vibrant blue

and walk with our heads held high.

So yes I say those crazy teens

With their feminist ideas, and beautiful words

changing the world one at a time.

Those silly teens

traveling to Africa, China, and Indonesia

helping whoever they can.

How absurd Malala, Malia, or Mo'ne must be

for speaking out when others can't,

or holding on to a passion that burns in their heart.

And even those who just simply refuse to be anyone one else but themselves.

Those defiant, wild, and beautiful teens.

That's what they say

but

I say how truly awesome those crazy teens must be.
