Thank You, Mom

Strength comes in many forms.

Resilience;

Getting swept away with the current

Trusting that smooth sailing is ahead.

Leadership;

Knowing when to step up

Knowing how to step back.

Unconditional kindness;

Being a support system

Despite feeling untethered from your own.

Tolerance;

In the face of blatant ignorance

In the presence of unbridled hatred.

Patience;

When it all feels hopeless

When you lose sight of the horizon.

Faith;

Seeing clouds block the sun

Knowing that light will always shine through

Strength comes in many forms.

I’ve learned them all from you.

—Thank you, Mom.
