Suicide
Suicide, the thing everyone says is bad.
I don’t see why when it is a help to some in which I can add
Sometimes I think it would be the answer
Instead of leaving it to something as unsure as cancer
Life in its fullest really doesn’t amount to shit
Because we all believe we can’t get hit
But life deals even the best of us a blow
It’s almost as if we are all lined up in a row
Life is one big jokester to us all
And we are just one of its many balls
I don’t know about you but I’m tired of being thrown around
I’m not a toy that can keep being rewound
I’m going to reach my end sooner or later here
So if you want to have me around till later lend an ear
If this keeps up I will do my last act
I mean it’s not as if I signed a pact
I’m free to live just as I’m free to die
All I’m saying is heart-felt and not a lie
Sometimes, I feel as if love isn’t enough
And it’s as if my hand is in a cuff
I’m chained down here in this place I hate
And escape just doesn’t seem to be part of my fate.

ok.................. I need to explain this one... I use to contemplate suicide alot. this was a suicide note.............. i wrote it last year before trying my last time... Oh well to that. I write to calm myself down.

You were able to express yourself in a way that I can relate, so yes I believe its good!! The poem its self is good, of course the theme "suicide" is never good.. When I was depressed I used poetry as an escape.. and I just recently started sharing those poems.. Even if the meaning of the poem is 'bad' if someone can relate and know that they're not alone, that is the good of the poem. As far as I can tell, you're a good writer, so don't hold back... you should share more :)

i will:) thanks............. I use poetry as an escape always. thats the only reason i write............. its normally about abuse and suicidalness............ I have to get all my poetry together...................................

I would like to congratulate you and something not many people have been able to do; you have been able to start a conversation with people using your poem and brought people closer together. As well, I was once suicidal- not too long ago- and with stress and drama I had contemplated about becoming again. But reading your poem has made me remember the cries for help, for someone to care and I like to thank you. Thank you for sharing this poem to remind everyone they aren't the only ones- we aren't alone.

I am thrilled my feelings that i merely put on a page- my contemplations worked into every word of it- was able to help you... thats why i finally shared it..... But I am amazed how so many have been able to put this type thing up without being afraid to... i was afraid of what people would say But now from what you and others have said i no longer am. thank you
