Strength

Straight face, curved back

Deep breath in, and out again

That little blue dot on the wall has my attention

I squat down with the weight heavy on my shoulders;

my knees bend until my thighs are parallel to the floor beneath

Coming back up, the weight slams securely into the rack

The sounds rings out, sounding like victory

The detication has paid off,

from the last few weeks, even months

This shows I can accomplish anything--

because I had the strength to get out of bed when others won't

Now when the calulations are all said and done,

I've risen to the top-- or so I thought

There's a new name that rose above mine,

which now means there's a new goal

A new reason to commit

A new reason to prove all over again that I am stong--

Mentally and physically.
