Stillness of Sacred Dusk

The day setting into a vast rice-bowl horizon

Lifeblood of the sun

Painted across ashen skies

A sailor’s delight

The wind forming a cocoon of tranquility

Boughs commune, shake hands, stretching ancient joints

Releasing a red silken kite

Earth rising high to meet the sky’s challenge

Eternal dance with the stars,

Celebrating past origins,

Tired depth dancing at joyful height

From long past trees they rise once more

Triumphant in the face of death

Unseen but not unknown

Guiding travelers with sacred light, all coming together

With Luna’s watchtowers

Creating blessed and acquainted night
