Soneto for el Chico Who Necesito and Amo

Me libera, tu mirada ondeada,

English:

When you smile, you make me feel

As if I were the only girl

Who would love like ice, so hard,

Without melting into a magnificent waterfall.

When you look at me, I hide in the flowers

For fear of being seen by your soul.

In the petals with other lovers,

I steal glances of your calm face.

When you find me, I’m broken and destroyed,

but you save me from the rotting garden.

It frees me, your rippling stare,

I escape the weeds with sunken wonder.

I see a new kind of love, soft and melted,

it leaves me like a splendid waterfall.

I didn’t know there were ways to love

that were so passionate they spilled from my body.
