So Honorably Awesome

“she’s my person, she makes my life so honorably awesome.

in any given devastation, from earthly destruction to menstruation,
a single utterance of her name, a melodious whisper to leave me fain.

she’s my friend, she makes my life so honorably awesome.

such overwhelming history to have seen, but not yet, not ever subdued.
like a redwood in a fire, standing firm, standing tall, in the blazing, she grew.

she’s my sister, she makes my life so honorably awesome.

smiling, laughing, talking, breathing - this is who she is, this is what she’s done.
without her I wouldn’t be, she’s the best, so honorably awesome.”
