A Shattered Reality

The times her curly hair flew as she walked

Those brown eyes, wondering, waiting

For someone to catch her

From falling into an abyss of agony.

This girl didn't want to grow up

and face reality

Of the simple fact that her once bright blue sky

Had dimmed into a dark veil.

Her Prince Charming came on a grey mist

and gazed upon her only to kiss her

With no other goal but to get the cream of the crop.

She was devastated and realized,

The only love she needed was her own.
