senses (5/11/20)

i'm not quite sure how to put the way i miss you into words.

i see your face in everything around me.

your taste is a recurrent craving i can't seem to curb.

i hear your voice and the whole world slows as if it's eagerly waiting for your next word.

your touch visits me in my dreams, always leaving way too soon.

but i'm starting to forget what smells like you,

and that terrifies me more than anything else.

so for now,

i'll just wrap myself in your t-shirt

and hope that i can cling to any last remnants of your intoxicating scent.
