Ripple

Ripple

September 10, 2018 ~ Monday

Daddy

Hello, you who held me when I was just a baby

To you, who watched me

Swathed and bottle fed me

Doing more than my mother did for me

You, who entertained me

Taught me and trained me

Becoming all you made me out to be

It’s frustrating

Now you change the image you had of me

All I wanted was to be loved

For everyone to be loved by me

Now, I feel the greatest pain

Now that you don’t want me as I am

Now I feel the rain dropping

Finding a center in me

Please don’t chew me up and leaves me

Out with all the dirty laundry

Dad, won’t you love me

With all that mars and haunts me

Electric lights that blind me

Here I say, come find me

In water that’s rippling
