I still remember the first time,

He chased me down the halls

swearing he'd get me.

He did and it hurt

scars on my arms,legs

hurt a little less than the names

he made sure they would call me.

Got called to the principal,

first thing he says

you just don't understand,

you're not the right kind of kid

you don't fit in

YOU MADE YOURSELF A TARGET.

Who is someone to say

that abuse and bullying

are okay as long as the person is different?

It's okay to harm them and say the worst things

because they deserve it for being different?

For daring to not like the 'popular'ones

the kids who apparently are the 'right' kind?

What is so wrong that it deserves the abuse?

Nothing. They allow it because they know no better.

They think they will get away and it will put them on top,

but surely they won't.

Even after years there will always be away to escape,

and you will realize, those people,

THEY WERE WRONG

who are they to decide who and what we are

or how much we are right or wrong.

there are some things that should be so obvious,

the hurt must stop

and it only will if we fight it.

Those who are bullied must realize

YOU'RE NOT ALONE

Millions of other before you and after you face the same thing
The same doubt and pain, that when we all unite and recognize its there

We will finally be free and welcomed properly into the world

by those who know kindness,

who aren't shallow

who don't believ becaus they 'belong' they can do whatever they want.

There willl be a day when that is possible.
