Remorseful Me
Lost in a dream of who I used to be
Shuddering to think of what they see
Adrift in the ocean drowning in shame
As waves of sorrow silence my name
My soul weathered by the guilty air
Haunted by visions of judgmental stares
Tumbling like driftwood onto the shore
With emotional regrets left to endure
My salvation is felt close at hand
As I burrow beneath the tranquil sands
The key is death - death is the key
To save me from - my remorseful me
