Remembered

As every family member dies

I will always remember the fire from their eyes

Even as they watch from above

Or when they come down as passing doves

I see them in the shape of clouds from a far

Or the twinkle in every shooting star

They are the souls I remember

As I sit now in the month of September

The wind beneath my wings

Your spirit speaks out and sings

You were the other part

Of my once complete heart
