Recovery

Sometimes it's hard to admit that you need to change,

Because your mind is trying to convince you that you need to stay the same.

It's not easy to face the reality and admit that something is not right,

But sometimes it can come to you like a blinding light.

One day it will almost hit you in the face with full force,

And it will happen so suddenly, and it can take your life off of its course.

Sometimes, however, that is for the best,

And it makes it easier to accept that this old life has to be put to rest.

They say change is hard in the beginning, messy in the middle and wonderful in the end,

But sometimes it can become the best decision you made by starting over and making ammends.

I do believe that life is planned out for us, and that everything happens because of fate,

And that everything happens for a reason, and that positivity will help everything to turn out great.

We did not choose to go through what we went through,

But those things that make you different are what make you you.

No matter what we go through, there is always a way to turn everything around,

And nothing can be better than you succeeding because you were able to pick yourself up off the ground.
