The Real Super Predators

Fri, 08/14/2020 - 14:56 -- Tiarra3

Created for a family bond

After mass incarceration broke the family bond

Needing a sense of love and protection

For many Gangs took on those wanting affections

People arrested on non-violent crimes

Given long sentences or even life

This only affects the Black and Brown

While the whites roam around

In the 70s and 80s industrial jobs vanished

Drugs were allowed to rush in

There were no effective government protections

Heroin, Cocaine, and Crack became permanent inhabitants

No steady work available

No strong and effective education

Bills don't stop... it's time to sell rock or rob

The government wants to label us as animals

Instead of acknowledging the lack of opportunity

No family, no job, no education

What is one to do

What do we have to live for

Loved ones arrested trying to make a living

Given life sentences for stealing candy

While whites go to Burger King after slaughtering and murdering

Gangs became a sense of family and security

As drugs were allowed to pour in so did the crime and violence

We are not your super predators

We are people without hope and opportunity

Lawmakers

Legislators

Government Officials and Presidents

Those who approved of the mass relocation of jobs and economic prosperity

Those are your criminals and super predators
