A pop of color
A pop of color,
A shimmer of light,
That is all you need
To feel a little less trite.
A hint of pink,
A bit of blue,
Paint your canvas, oh sky,
This is your venue.
I see that dragon,
Oh and that dinosaur.
Your charm and allure
Are hard to ignore.
With your wide paintbrush strokes
And your heavenly hand laid
Your canvas begins to show
That happiness should never be delayed.
Whether it’s a kind word here,
A radiant sunset there,
Or that subtle thought of knowing
That you are wonderfully rare.
This poem is about:
Me
My family
