Pass Me By

Pass me by in the halls, I’ll give a smile and sweet hello.

It just might lift your chin up off the ground.

But see not past these smiles and sweet hellos,

For there’s a reason why the truth isn’t always shown.

A dark truth pulls the angel down from the sky without warning.

Steals her wings and rips her soul.

So pass me by in the halls, see my smiles and hear my hellos.

But for your sake see not past them.
