Painting a Picture of Peace

With God’s pen in my hand, just imagine

The life I could draw for all of mankind:

We could all use a little compassion;

Stencil in houses; no man left behind.

Red rivers of blood and war are no more.

They’ve been painted over instead with love.

I’d draw a beach, warm sands, a boat offshore;

Tranquility- no need to push or shove.

Then we’d see eye to eye, on common ground.

Brothers united who once were estranged.

After that I could lay my pencil down,

Sit back and admire all I have changed.

One girl can’t create peace, though I would.

Working together, we could...and we should.
