The Other Half

Into the darkness she started

Hole in her heart, broken hearted

She wondered through desolation

Tear-streaked eyes, no salvation

Loneliness took hold of her soul

Nothing to fill it, never whole

Day by day she endured

The days passing by, all in blurs

Then came the merest shred of light

Piercing the shadows, their blight

He became the light of her day

Cleansing the shadows, gone, away

She awakens eyes bright and clear

Full of happiness, no more fear

Her days have become pure delight

For he is hers, a shining knight

From across the country's wild land

He fills her heart, takes her hand

Banishes the sorrow from her heart

Completing her, the final part
