Only in the Night

Location

I lay my head on your shoulder, Cuddle with you while the day is over. I lay my hand on your chest, viewing you as a form of protection, my vest. Clearing my mind of the rest, in that moment, I realize...Im yours and your mine. But only in that second, that small frame of time see...As the night begins to fold, our combining heat turns to cold. And as I awake to look at your face, its a lifeless form of grey, cold. Our mutual connection is gone, the lovemaking all night long is now a dream, a forbidden song. That plays when the skies light begins to dim, because in the day, you go from mine...to him.
