One Mississippi

1 mississippi, 2 mississippi, 3 mississippi, 4 mississippi, 5 mississippi.

I just wasted 5 seconds of my life.

6 mississippi, 7 mississippi, 8 mississippi, 9 mississippi, 10 mississippi.

And there I just wasted five more. It scares e to think that, I’m literally throwing away seconds of my life on utter bullshit.

Beligerent drinking, frying my braincells with thick smokes,

Arguments with my friends, and even worse with my family,

Abusive relationships, and an abusive mentality.

Where have I gone? I’ve lost myself in a world counterproductive to my growth,

Squishing myself closer and closer threw a doorway

Where eventually I;ll no  longer have time to look back.

When I was kid it seemed, that the world and time was almost endless

But now, it seems like the last thing I have is time and when spent well I’m friendless.

11 mississippi, 12 mississippi, 13 mississippi, 14 mississippi, 15 mississippi.

What do I do when every Mississippi, rushes along the ripples on my tongue,

oh they taste so fowl

16 mississippi, 17 mississippi, 18 mississippi, 19 mississippi, 20 mississippi.

What happens when I no longer have a Mississippi to count?
