An ode to Spring

Like a soft blanket with ruffles and weaves,
The ground is covered
White, pristine, pure, she sleeps,
In her, creation slumbers.

The sun, with his long silky warm rays
Caresses her ever so gently,
With every passing day she awakens a little
Their celestial dance, played out infinite gentleness.

Soon, she slips of her covers and dresses in resplendent green
Brilliant blooms in varied colors adorn her,
Swift streams her swirling tresses
Deep blue lakes are her beautiful eyes
Lush, full of promise
Isn’t she is a joy to behold?

Her beauty is alluring
Her energy is captivating
Feverishly the bee flies,
Flitting from her nectar filled lips
All creation is caught up in her dance
The promise is fulfilled
Spring is finally here.
