Monsters 'Neath My Bed
I used to be afraid of monsters
Lurking ‘neath my bed
But, no one ever told me
‘Bout the monsters in my head
Night lights and my teddy bears
All kept those beasts at bay
But now they torture viciously
Throughout the night and day
I used to think those frightful fiends
Would always skulk behind
But now I know these scary things
Are living in my mind
The monsters hiding ‘neath my bed
Had fangs and purple warts
The ones that now invade my brain
Are crueler and much worse
I used to be afraid of monsters
Lurking ‘neath my bed
But, no one ever told me
‘Bout the monsters in my head!
