A Moment of Revelation

A young girl sits against the wall of her bathroom,

Her wrists are all scarred and wounded from her pain.

She’s been through hell and back,

Alone.

Her wrists are bleeding,

ever flowing and draining.

Her eyes begin to close,

her consciousness fading.

A bloody, folded note sits beside her,

wishing her family goodbye.

She could hold no more pain inside,

She was full of self-doubt and depression.

She slipped into the bathroom and did the horrible deed,

now she sits there,

alone and crying.

Her mom finds her the next morning,

stiff and dead.

The mother screams in fear and sadness of her lost child.

Her baby girl is gone,

unable to be saved.
