Miles Away..

Miles away apart from grace,

I need your love to guide me through; where no fear is ever known.

Though seclude, I feel right at home.

Late at night, like my overseer  I feel you watching my every move.

I can almost hear you whispering through my ear,

Though I’m frighten, You are my inspiration of a new day with bright light about to start.

Yes, I believe Joy comes in the morning,

But to seek you more is what my soul desires,

Even apart from grace & miles away.   *Summary* I wrote this based on the poem “Acquainted with the Night” by Robert Frost. To me the phrase night is darkness, and darkness is terrible. Sometimes we can feel gloomy, and depressed about a situation with no way out.  I talk about how at night we tend to feel alone and isolated.  I personally have felt lost in this world from past experiences which tends to make us bitter and secluded, but we can only learn from our experiences.  This is a strong and personal poem that deals with a heavy heart and darkness, and to me the presence of God, is only the thing that will always last, that is the best acquaintance. 05/30/2012
