Meeting
The first senses of shyness
and excitement mix together in an odd
sort of cocktail
You try to hide your brewing
intrigue and curiosity that come at you
like a wave
You wait for the moment to ask The
Question, the equalizer of friend or foe
As you drop your bomb the impact
affects them as well, creating a strange
mingled heap of your emotions together
And, as you walk away, you begin
to recite their name, as you try to remember
what will last, hopefully, forever
This poem is about:
Me
