People see her as a Greek piece of theatre

Never showing her true identity

Always hiding behind a mask

She goes along telling my story

But reality never comes out

At home, a different mask is put on

The innocent child with a pure mind

Her parents couldn't bear the person she actually is

The person her friends love

And others are intimidated by

But really she prefers the life without a mask

The girl she sees in the mirror every morning

Hardly anyone ever sees the naked face

That lies beneath a heavy, intricate mask

Except for me
