A Lullaby
It’s something so dark,
Enchanting and hard to remark
From the beginning to the end,
Not even the brightest of humans will comprehend.
It’s something so dark,
Sung with the dullest spark
Beautiful yet frightfully horrifying,
The way it puts your body to sleep is more than terrifying.
It’s something so dark,
With a range of melodies, to a simple arc
The meaning is behind the sad notes,
With the occasional gloomy quotes.
It’s something so dark,
Enchanting and hard to remark
Something so powerful, it may you cry,
But it’s nothing more than a simple lullaby.
