I was sixteen
And with an open heart
I did dream and fantasied alot
I was loved and knew it
I strolled to adulthood en route
I fell in love and my imaginations widened
I would lay awake all night
Indeed "I knew I was in love because reality was finally better than my dreams".
I would sit in my open world dreamily
All set and good
until reality interposed my imaginations
My world fell and cracked open
All sweetness spilled and left it's trail
I still layed awake all nights
Indeed "tears melts away like emotions heated"
I wore a mask of painted roses
A wig of feigned gardens
And hoped the thorns don't pierce through
I memorised our farewell like ABC
Lend a lone applaude to every friendly stunt I pulled
The hurt made me grow
Yet I strolled to adulthood
I wore my years like an inner wear
And wrapped my heart like a forgotten souvenir
They say "it's better to have loved and lost than never loved at all"
Indeed now I understand
Heart breaks en route to adulthood.
