Living Once

Life is full of unexpected surprises;

You could lose everything in a flash,

From people you love to little prizes,

Thrown in the wind like trash.

We’re not promised tomorrow;

It’s simply the way life goes.

Full of loss and sorrow

A fact everyone knows.

So I will enjoy the little things,

Laugh during the joyful times,

Forgive and forget hurtful stings,

And move past the harming crimes.

I’m gonna live like I’m dying

And waste no more time crying.
