Let Them Fly
Every morning at the beginning of class
We all rise and stand as a mass
Pledging to our country's flag
But for many, it can become such a drag
To realize that we won't pledge any more
Because it's our senior year and time for us to soar
After high school, we no longer stand
And no one even raises a hand
Every day of the year I fly a flag high
Hoping to get others to comply
That they can fly a flag in the sky wherever they are
This concept may seem bizarre
But on my Jeep, you'll even see
That red, white, and blue flys high with me
This poem is about:
My country
