Insanity
Kept me locked up like a wild animal
where my only friends were
the scars on my hips
and the voices in my head.
Telling me all my wrongs
as if I couldn't already see
all the sins that lie within me.
Shredding every bit of sanity I had left.
This is insanity!
Why won't humanity set me free?
I broke the chains
and clawed at veins
killing all within me.
I took to heart my fall apart.
I spread my wings
they set me free.
Soaring past the seven seas.
Holding onto sanity.
