Innocence.

The kindness in the smile of a little girl.

Fearless and free...the world not yet clawing away her freedom to love,

sees through eyes as clear as the sea with an embrace as warm as the sun.

I pray that if night appears in her world, her heart will repel it,

always remembering what the warmth of a sunrise feels like...

her proof that God doesn't break promises.

I pray that love is all she feels, so she'll never have a reason to fear,

taking on butterfly wings and tasting the sweet nectar of life and never remembering

the bitter taste...forever hoping and never ceasing to dream.
