If I were stranded in

Fri, 04/01/2016 - 19:47 -- jtland

If I were stranded in the seas

It would sure do a number on my knees

Though I wouldn't consent

I would quickly augment

My situation as I please.

To bring a friend known all lifelong

To leave behind would be wrong

We'd sing together

No matter the weather

As long as we stayed strong.

Together we'd live life below

Away from the world and its flow

Though the island was troubling

And our misfortune was doubling

Our friendship, I know, would glow.

Yes you see it is not material

It is more something ethereal

Our friendship would last

Till all our days past

And we were all but funereal.
