I Want a Job that Makes a Difference

Location

Applications,

Essays,

Letters of Recommendation.

Hours,

Hours,

Hours of work.

Work that makes my eyes blurry

Or fingers cramp.

For what exactly?

After college what is there?

An office job,

Or a desk resptionist?

Preforming nominal tasks that dull the brain

And numb learned collegiate skills?

No.

No.

No.

I will not give up.

I will not give in.

I will not stop,

Untill my voice is heard.

I will matter.

I will be a changemaker

A leader.

I will make a difference for others,

Myself.

and the world.

Whether I be a CIA agent,

Diplomat,

Or President of the United States,

You will hear my name on the news,

Catherine McConnell.

Because I matter.
