I Miss You

I can't lie, I miss you.

Every song I hear is about you.

Every story is about us.

I hear you in every word.

And see a little bit of you you in everyone else.

I'd rather be kissing you than missing you.

You're in all my dreams.

I know I'm not alone, but I'm lonely without you.

I wince whenever someone says your name,

Because it hurts knowing you're not with me.

And I don't have to be a thousand miles away,

But I still miss you.

Because there are moments when I find myself doing something and wishing you were right there by my side.

But you're not.

I miss our talks and our walks,

And holding your hand in the sun, rain, and snow.

This place in me where your fingerprints rest, your words echo, and your kisses linger will always remind me of you.

I miss you.
