Can you trust me?

I can do this myself.

I won't need your mentoring,

I CAN learn new things.

If you tell me what to do,

every step of the way, I won't learn.

I'm not a baby any more,

I can walk on my own.

You're not in my shoes,

so you don't know how i feel.

I wish you could understand,

that being treated like this, is unreal.

I appreciate what you're doing,

but don't hold my hand.

I understand your purpose,

but I'm old enough, to stand.
