I was born in Texas one February morning

Took my first steps and soon started walking

I found my voice and never stopped talking

Lost my first tooth and couldn’t stop smiling

My first day of school I was terrified

Found some lifelong friends who have always stuck by my side

Played my first basketball game and we didn’t win

I turned into a teenager and found my true self within

Moved to a new school and soon became very thin

Experienced my first heartbreak when I was seventeen

Picked myself up again and gained some self esteem

About to graduate high school and live my dream
