Hidden Amongst One Another

Location

To hide the true self out of fear of unacceptance or vulnerability

As irreligious as the world has shaped me to be

Sins remain apparent

For instance, burying our talents

Our supposedly god-given strengths

If one were truly beautiful, something that is increasingly seldom with time

Is not masking this with repulsiveness betraying God?

But I suppose, for others, like me, disguises are mandatory

For we are monsters wearing the masks of men

And not the other way around

 .
