Heroine

Tears drip,

Tears run,

Scared.

Frightened.

What's going on?

Bang.

Gun shot.

Kids here!

Whispers...

Bang.

Here.

And you here.

Bang.

Stay quiet.

You must be silent!

Whispers in fear.

Bang.

Silence.

Where are they?

Voice firm and harsh.

At gym class.

Voice sweet but scared.

Bang.

The CT school shooting in 2012 hit America in so many ways. Especially those childern who were murdered. But the one story that really stuck out to me was the one about the teacher who saved her class. Hiding her class when she heard the shots. In the end she lost her life, but saved each childs life in her class room. And this is my thanks to her for being there for those kids. I know none of them. But i could not tell you one teacher that would put their life on the line like she did. She is a true heroine.
