Have You Ever Felt Depression?

Location

Have you ever felt Depression?

It's like a dark cloudy day.

Everyday.

That warm blanket you crave,

Smothers you until you can't breathe.

It's that tightness in your chest.

Clenching.

Burning, red hot at your core,

Tearing you up from the inside out.

It's walking into a crowded party.

Alone.

Unable to keep a conversation going,

Uncomfortable because everyone is happy.

It's wanting to be someone else.

Stupid.

Because being yourself isn't good enough.

You're the reason behind every problem.

Depression is when you want time to stop,

Because living is just too hard to continue.

Have you ever felt Depression?

Struggingly with depression hurts, but you have all heard the same story. Something people don't tell you is sometimes deep down you don't want to get better. You repeat to yourself that you are going to get better, that you are trying your hardest, but life keeps getting you down. But sometimes that's a lie, sometimes at the core of it all you want someone to look at you and think to themselves that you are messed up. It's not that you want attention, but it's frustrating for people to brush aside how hurt you feel and tell you that you will get better when you want to shout that you won't. (Not sure if this is what is meant by comment but here it is).
