Haiku

 

I Gaze at the coal black letters

the words look so real

as if they were palpable

I guzzle them down with hunger

sputtering out the lines

I murmur the haiku to myself

then I get a thrill of hope

I hold the words up to my ear

and I hear them whispering to me
