The Girl in a Bubble

I’m the girl who is sheltered

The one who has no fun

I’m the girl who was homeschooled

The one who hasn’t won?

High school had so much

Tell me I missed out

I should have stayed in school

This I have to doubt

Now my chance to boast

Flawless I’ve become

Through this little script

I open to this hum

11 years of age

Homeschool came to me

Here I am now

Pretty as can be

With twenty-three credits

Latin and pre-cal

Small things I did

As one rad gal

Grade point Average

A four point two-three

Led me to reach

My straight ‘A’ fee

15 years of age

High school I was done

Graduate in May

My road had just begun

GED, SAT,

ACT said hi

I finished all

High scores no lie

Free college, oh yeah

To Lake-Sumter I went

And First semester left

With Presidents list sent

Now Semester 2

I’ll still win

With 17 credits

I’ll put my heart in

An older sister to 5

A younger sister to 1

Skateboard and play

My schedule isn’t done

Learned to play bass

Write my own songs

Dress like a lady

I’m the one who’s wrong?

I’ll have a doctorates

Just 25 years old

Own my own land

And still not going cold

Be an orthodontist

Make a million bucks

Living all my dreams

Was High school much luck?

So I’m the girl who is sheltered

The one who has no fun

I’m the girl who was homeschooled

The one who hasn’t won?

I am flawless

And One day you’ll see

This homeschooled girl

Became what she wanted to be!
