Friendships Always Have Fights

You know that moment
you feel wounded and broken?
You say something easy and fine
and they look at you with a blank line.

Even stepping out of the door
I feel the tension begin to pour
down on me, it brings an ache
but I smile for everyone's sake

I just want to take a hit of a drug
pull myself out like pulling the plug
on a brain damaged person
I couldn't stand for this to worsen.

I'm going to break your heart
You should have known from the start
I'm not ruined, I was never whole
I am the only one of us without a soul.

To my dear red haired child
I can't help but be wild
and you have to put up with it
I know your already tired and sick

I am a difficult person to handle
My flame burns brighter than any candle
and yet you stick your hand in the flame
It seems nothing will change, we'll stay the same.
