My hairs a mess

I don't even distress of how I dress

my leggings are all worn

people are going to know it's all torn

however I keep a smile.

Because I know these people I see are only for a while

I know myself

and I don't have to prove it to some magazine on a shelf

I am beautiful, brave, and kind

not to mention a girl with an open mind.

and that's all that matters.

Who cares if I don't match to all society's standards?

I am content of the way I look,

and I don't need to prove it to some "beauty" book,

but most of all I know I will always be

expressing myself to stay beautiful and free.
