For _______

I never saw a face

that I Saw as much as yours

that golden part

it sent me into such a spiral

wringing together hands

that invariably aimed to only touch yours;

making sprints of a jog

on a track firmly inside of my chest.

I never loved a face

that I Loved like I did yours

yours, mine

you, love

you’re a part of me now

a seed

growing wildflowers & grasses

through the cracks in my ribs;

a theme

that pours color into my throat.

I’d never seen your Face

truly

before that second moment -

that second, a spring

that brought me forth to God.
