The burning without is no match for that within
A frozen heart en-wrapped in ice from winters past
Lessons taught by witches
leave their mark in scars
Left with no alternative to pain except to turn away
To be without preferred over learning how to be with
A lost knight yearning for freedom
A tortured princess wishing for imprisonment
He smiles with laughter
She burns in coldness
To defrost would be a hell within the heart
Longing for the summer
yet unwilling to leave the familiar winter pain
Their love a shining hope despite the weather
